MASH Trust are looking for a Facility Assistant to provide support to the wider Te Puna Rau Aroha operations. Reporting to the Service Manager Disability Community, you will ensure the smooth operation of MASH Trust's new Community hub in the Horowhenua, including supporting clients to make bookings and access services available within the hub, administration duties, maintaining the cleaning schedule and maintenance reporting, overview of the whole hub operations.

Hours of work: This role is working 40 hours per week Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
(This role could be 2x part time people working 20 hours per week for the right applicants)


Role and Responsibilities: 

  • Facility Coordination - making and managing bookings, and providing assistance to clients to use these spaces
  • Administration and Reception Duties - Greet new clients and visitors, answer phone calls and respond to emails, handle all bookings and cancellations, manage payments for services provided. 
  • Cleaning and Maintenance - Maintain a strict cleaning schedule of the facility, ensuring all spaces are clean and ready for clients to use, report any maintenance concerns that need to be addressed.
  • Making connections with the community by providing exceptional customer service and experience when using our services. 


Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in facility coordination, administrative roles, or customer service advantageous
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, point of sales systems and facility management software
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong customer rapport and provide high quality service
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
  • Strong communication skills with confidential handling of sensitive information
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning practices and maintenance procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to uphold tikanga and Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong customer rapport and provide high quality service
  • Knowledge and understanding of the needs of people with disabilities and an empathy for the communities advantageous
