The Position:

Your role will include planning and supporting people to participate in a meaningful way in the community by assisting in gaining and maintaining social, health, education, whanau and cultural connection. Previous professional experience in the intellectual disability field and knowledge of Enabling Good Live's Values is an advantage but not essential.


Hours of Work: 

This is a Full time position working 80 hours per fortnight Monday through to Friday - 8am - 4.30pm 


You will need to have:

  • A passion for people, be patient, friendly and kind
  • Previous experience working as a Support Worker
  • The ability to understand and connect with people 
  • Professionalism, honesty and be a reliable team player with a flexible approach
  • Energy, enthusiasm and enjoy being part of a team
  • The ability to undertake personal cares when required
  • Full NZ Driver Licence as part of your role will be driving a MASH van
  • A NZ Certificate in Health & Wellbeing or willingness to working towards one funded by MASH 
  • A good understanding of enabling good lives, community activities
