Support Worker - Vocational Lower Hutt

The Position:
This position includes planning and supporting people to participate in a meaningful way in the community by assisting in gaining and maintaining social, health, education, whanau and cultural connection. Previous professional experience in the intellectual disability field and knowledge of Enabling Good Live's Values is an advantage but not essential.
This position is 76 hours per fortnight working Monday to Friday 8.30 - 4.30pm each week.

Skills and Experience:
- A passion for people, be patient, friendly and kind
- Previous experience working as a Support Worker
- The ability to understand and connect with people
- Energy, enthusiasm and enjoy being part of a team
- The ability to provide personal cares when required
- Professionalism, honesty and be a reliable team player with a flexible approach
- Full NZ Driver License as part of your role will be driving a MASH van
- Health & Wellbeing certificate preferable or willingness to work towards one.
- A good understanding of enabling good lives, community activities
