About the Role: Two permanent part-time positions, based in Whanganui

We have multiple permanent part-time positions available, supporting three young men who are non-verbal and require a high level of consistent and individualised support.

There are 32-hour and 72-hour-per-fortnight arrangements available. The exact hours and combination of shifts will be discussed with applicants based on their availability.

Available shift times include:

  • Saturday and Sunday: 9am–6pm or 7am–3.30pm
  • Monday to Thursday: 5.30pm–11pm


We're Looking for Someone With:

  • A Passion for Tangata/People: Be patient, friendly, and kind, with the ability to understand, communicate, and genuinely connect with people.
  • Empathy & Understanding: An understanding of Enabling Good Lives principles.
  • Team Player: Professional, honest, and a reliable team-player with a flexible mindset.
  • Practical Skills: The ability to carry out personal cares, including showering and dressing.
  • Driver Licence: A Full NZ Driver Licence is essential, as driving a MASH van will be part of your role.
  • Relevant Qualification (or commitment to obtain): A NZ Certificate in Health & Wellbeing Level 4 or a commitment to working towards this qualification, which will be funded by MASH Trust.
  • Relevant Experience: A minimum of 2 years' experience in disability residential care.
