About the Role: Full-time 80 hours per fortnight based in Wellington
As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will be supporting others to maintain a high quality of life and home environment, while encouraging full participation within their community.   

Working every week - Monday and Thursday 8.15am - 5.15pm, Friday and Saturday 7.50am - 5.10pm and Sunday 8.15 - 5.15pm


Skills and Experience:

  • A Passion for Tāngata/People: Be patient, friendly, and kind, with the ability to understand, communicate, and genuinely connect with people
  • Experience: Must have 12 months minimum experience working in the Health Sector
  • Empathy & Understanding: An understanding of Enabling Good Lives principles.
  • Team Player: Professional, honest, and a reliable team-player with a flexible mindset.
  • Practical Skills: Prompting personal cares, including showering and dressing and confident in the kitchen
  • Driver Licence: A Full NZ Driver Licence is essential, as driving a MASH van will be part of your role.
  • Relevant Qualification (or commitment to obtain): A NZ Certificate in Health & Wellbeing or a commitment to working towards this qualification, which will be funded by MASH Trust
