Lead with Purpose: Service Manager – AOD & Community Mental Health and Disability Based in Hastings |  80 hours per fortnight |  Full-time, Permanent

Ready to lead a passionate team and make a lasting difference in people’s lives?

At MASH Trust, we’re not just another social services organisation—we’re a community of change makers. With over 550 staff and volunteers across the lower North Island, we’re dedicated to supporting people living with mental health and addiction challenges, disabilities, youth care needs, and homelessness.

Join our mission to empower individuals and strengthen communities—from Wellington to Hawke’s Bay and everywhere in between.

The Opportunity:

As our new Service Manager – AOD & Community Mental Health and Disability, you’ll be at the heart of a vibrant, values-driven team. Reporting to the National Manager – Mental Health Community and AOD, you’ll lead a team of Alcohol and Other Drug clinicians and support workers, working in a residential service, while seeking to grow MASH's AOD & Community Mental Health and Disability service delivery presence in the region.

You’ll inspire, uplift, and drive excellence in a space where no two days are the same. Whether you’re shaping services, building partnerships, or championing your staff, your leadership will ripple across lives.

What You Bring:

You’re a people-first leader with a passion for recovery-oriented support and a knack for bringing out the best in others. You’ll thrive here if you:

  • Have experience in mental health, alcohol and other drug, or social services and Disability services in Aotearoa
  • Know how to lead teams that feel seen, empowered, and valued
  • Build strong, strategic relationships with funders and stakeholders
  • Communicate clearly and collaborate across all levels
  • Have the stamina and heart to tackle challenges and drive continuous improvement
  • Registered Health Professional (Social Work, DAPPANZ, RN etc)

What’s in It for You?

Your work will directly improve the well-being of people across your community. You’ll help shape inclusive, responsive services that truly change lives—and you’ll do it with a supportive team by your side.
