MASH provides a wide range of support services for people with Mental Health, Intellectual or Physical Disability or Illness, alcohol and addiction and youth respite care and employs over 600 employees and volunteers.

These services are offered either at the residential homes we support, or people who require support in their own homes, or in the community.

MASH operates throughout the lower North Island in the Wellington, Kapiti, Horowhenua, Palmerston North and Hawkes Bay regions.

The role: 

We have an exciting opportunity for a casual roster coordinator / administrator to join our team. This role will cover shifts across both teams on an as and when required basis

The roster team provides effective, professional and personalised service both via the telephone and face-to-face to our 24 hour team of support workers throughout the Hawkes Bay and Lower North Island. Working alongside a dedicated and supportive team, there will be variety and challenge. Planning and coordinating the rosters for our support staff means you will be well-organised, responsive to change and can work well under pressure.

The administration team are in an integral front facing role, which provides reception and administrative support to our clients, staff and guests.  Alongside answering phones and greeting visitors, the admin team ensure the smooth running of MASH, from ordering stationery and ensuring the tea-room is stocked, to graphic design and record management. Everyday is busy and you must be able to thrive on a never ending ‘to-do’ list. 

You will need:

· Effective communication skills which will enable you to build strong working relationships

· Previous experience with Time Target or similar people management software is desirable but not necessary

· Previous administration experience would be an advantage

· Proficiency with MS Office Suite

· A confident and professional telephone manner, along with a strong customer service focus

· Ability to produce work of a high standard, meticulous attention for detail and accuracy

A confident and charismatic person who is capable of meeting deadlines, is well organised and has outstanding attention to detail. Most of all you will have a positive attitude and the ability to build strong internal and external relationships at all levels.

The Hours

This role is a casual position which will be required to cover shifts for both the Admin and Roster teams such as annual leave, sick leave, bereavement & other entitlements when required. There is no guarantee of hours or set shifts, however you must be available for a number of initial induction shifts. 

This position is available immediately.
