The Role:
This role is full-time permanent working 80 hours per fortnight based in Palmerston North.
As our Level 2 Helpdesk Support Technician, you’ll be a key player in maintaining, optimising, and supporting MASH Trust’s IT infrastructure. You will provide both remote and onsite support, uphold system integrity, and ensure smooth operations across our organisation. The role provides focused, enabling support and guidance to managers and staff, ensuring effective resolution of technical issues and continuity of IT services.

Key Responsibilities:
• Hardware and Technical Support
• Deploying and configuring of networks
• Maintaining system integrity and security
• Improving system performance
• Developing back-end network architecture
• Conducting data backups
Skills and Experience:
• Relevant tertiary qualification is desirable
• Experience working in a similar role
• Experience and understanding of routers and firewalls
• Experience using helpdesk/ticketing systems such as HALO
• Understanding of switches, hubs, patch panels and connecting nodes to a network
• Proven experience with Microsoft Office 365, Azure and operating systems
• Solid understanding of configuring TCP/IP sub-netting and troubleshooting internet connectivity
• Customer-focused approach
• Ability to work under pressure
• Flexibility to work other hours and locations as needed
• Clear understanding of professional boundaries when working around confidential data
