About the Roles: Working 80 hours per fortnight
We are looking for two competent, energetic and enthusiastic Home Coordinators to join our Palmerston North Mental Health Team.
Both positions work within specialised, high-support environments and require confident leadership, sound judgement and the ability to build positive relationships with the people being supported and the wider staff team.
- One position involves overseeing a home supporting eight people aged between 21 and 45 on their mental health recovery journeys. You will lead and inspire staff to provide high-quality support that enables people to make positive changes and achieve their goals.
- The second position is a senior Home Coordinator role providing individualised support to a young man with physical support needs and a strong personality. You will work closely with a supportive team and use your ability to build rapport, enjoy friendly banter and respect his strong Christian beliefs.
Across both positions, you will be responsible for the effective day-to-day operation of the service, ensuring the needs of the people we support are met and staff are supported to deliver consistent, high-quality care.
We’re Looking for Someone With:
- A Passion for Tāngata/People: Be patient, friendly and kind, with the ability to understand, communicate and genuinely connect with people.

- Leadership and Initiative: Demonstrates professionalism, integrity and reliability, with the confidence to take initiative and foster a positive, collaborative environment.
- Strong Communication Skills: The ability to communicate effectively with the people we support, staff and other stakeholders.
- Practical Skills: The ability to carry out personal care, including showering and dressing.
- Driver Licence: A full New Zealand driver licence is essential, as driving a MASH van will form part of your role.
- Previous Experience: Relevant experience working within the health or social services sector and leading a team is preferred.
- Relevant Qualification: A New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing
